The scope of work should be clearly defined including areas to be finished, type of material, number of coats, and special surface preparation.

If the contractor is not adequately insured, you may face the risk of having to insure a potential accident at best, or at worst, you could be facing a lawsuit. This does not mean general liability alone – you should also see proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance. Our insurance certificate is available upon request.

The PDCA provides continuing education to keep its members abreast of new technology, safety regulations, and current standards for coating applications. Michael Day (President of SunShine) has served as a National Board Member and is past-president of the 6 state Rocky Mountain Council of the PDCA and remains active in the organization.

Statistics indicate that most contracting failures occur with the first five years of operation. SunShine has been in business for over 45 years.

When a contractor requests partial payment before work begins, it is usually a sign of insufficient credit or under capitalization. Either or both could lead to problems. We offer terms of net 30 days.
